General

If I dont love my hair what is the return policy?

At this time Nahara’s Curls offers returns for store credit within 7 business days of receiving your order. We do not offer cash refunds on our orders. To be eligible for store credit the hair must be in its original packaging unopened.

Please note that if the correct item was received, you are responsible for all shipping charges associated with the return. We will not issue store credit until we have received the hair and it has been inspected and approved by a Nahara’s Curls team member.

We will send out an email notifying you once the return has been processed.

If item has been tampered it is not eligible for a store credit. Items that have been untied, washed, installed, chemically processed, dyed, excessively brushed or finger combed are not eligible for returns.

We reserve the right to refuse any return that is not returned in its original condition.

Make sure to check out our chart that lists each length to ensure you are picking the correct length for your desired look.

How long will my return take to process?

Your satisfaction is our priority, and we aim to process returns efficiently. Generally, your return may take up to 3 business days to fully process.

However, please be assured that our team works diligently to expedite this process whenever possible. We appreciate your patience, and if you have any specific concerns about your return, feel free to reach out to our customer support team for assistance!

I changed my mind, how do I cancel my order?"

To receive a full refund you must cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase and/or before we ship out the order (whichever comes first).

If the hair has already been shipped, we are unable to cancel the order (even if it is within the 24 hour time frame)

Which Hair Is Perfect For Me?

How do I choose the best curl pattern for me?

In each description section you will find (3B-4B) numbers referring to the curl pattern. If you are trying to match your natural texture match your natural curl number to the curl number in the description. If you are trying to go for a new look, go for the texture that matches your desired style!

What if I have more than one texture in my natural hair? How do I choose the correct texture that will match?

- For clip ins: Look at your hair as a whole and pick the DOMINANT curl pattern and go for the texture that matches that.

- For bundled wefts: Match the texture that you plan to use for your leave out.

Do you offer hair samples?

We do offer hair samples! It comes in a beautifully designed box and each box contains our three textures.

How do I know which length is right for me?

sizes

Wefts are measured straight and curly extensions shrink, just like your own hair. We want you to feel confident about picking the correct length for your desired style. Please take a look at our chart to ensure you are purchasing the correct length for your needs.

Tip: You can also measure at the nape of your neck to see where the hair falls, this will be the longest layer. Next, measure right above the ear, this will be the middle layer. Last, measure where you want your part, this will be the shortest layer.

Installation and Maintenance

Can the hair be used for wet sets (ex. twist outs, bantu knots, flexi rods, etc)?"

Yes, you are free to any type of wet set. Always use a heat protectant if you decide to use heat during the styling process.

How long does the hair last?

- Nahara’s Curls hair extensions are created using a delicate production process. In order to get the longest wear from your extensions, care for these curls like your own hair. You can refer to the customized “Hair Care Card” included in your order.

- For weaves you can use this hair up to 3-5 times.

- For everyday wig you can use this hair for up to 1 year

- You must take proper care and be gentle with your extensions in order for them to last as long as possible.

Does the hair shed?

The hair has minimal shedding. Just like your own hair, combing the hair while it is soaking wet is best. While the hair is wet, add a generous amount of detangling conditioner or detangling leave-in conditioner. Make sure the conditioner you chose has AMAZING slip to make the detangling process as gentle, easy, and effortless as possible. Your hair (and arms) will thank you for it!

Can I straighten Nahara’s Curls Hair?

You can straighten Nahara’s Curls Hair. Just keep in mind that these curls, just like your own, are susceptible to heat damage and breakage. Avoid excessive heat and while using heat styling tools always use a heat protectant. When using your heat styling tool, we do not recommend going higher than 400 ℉.

Can Nahara's Curls Extensions be dyed?

- You will receive Nahara’s Curls Hair in shades of dark brown to black tones. To make Nahara’s Curls Hair fit your unique look you can bleach or dye your hair to your desired tone. It is recommended to dye the hair prior to installation (its much easier that way). Always do a strand test before dying the whole unit.

- Just like your own hair, altering the color may result in damage. Hair dye and bleach is designed to break down the hair cuticle (this is how the hair is able to change color) and lift out the natural color and deposit the new color, so the lighter you go the weaker the hair strand will become. When the hair is weaker it is susceptible to a weaker curl pattern and might alter the health of the hair. Always be cautious while dying Nahara’s Curls Hair. When in doubt go to a trusted PROFESSIONAL hair stylist. Deep condition and nourish the hair whenever you are dying it and be gentle while detangling.

Do you have any curly weave/wig experts you can recommend for Nahara’s Curls Hair Extensions and my own natural hair?

At the momenth we do not have any Nahara's Curls stylists.

How much hair is needed for a full head install?

Bundles:

You will need at least 2 bundles for a full head install, but if you want a fuller look you will need 3 bundles. For lengths longer than 16 inches you may require 3 bundles and for lengths 24 inches and up you may require 3-4 bundles. The longer the hair the shorter the wefts.

Exception: TAJ you only need 2 bundles for the whole head, no matter the length.

Clip-Ins:

  • Each set contains 2 wefts with 4 clips, 5 wefts with 3 clips and 2 wefts with 2 clips for a natural finish.
  • Each set weighing approximately 160 grams. 
  • For a full head we recommend 1-2 set of clip ins. For 26" you might want 2 sets for a full head.

How does store credit work?

Store credit is issued via email. Please save the store credit email, as this has your code that will act as your promo code for the store credit at checkout. We can not issue store credit or process refunds until your order has been received and inspected by a member of our team. Once approved, you will be emailed the store credit for the amount paid, minus the cost of shipping/discounts. Discount codes are non-transferable to new orders.

We do not offer cash refunds for our extensions, this also applies to return-to-sender orders/packages.

Caring For Your Curls

How Do I Maintain My Curls?

- You can keep it simple and easy by just allowing your curls to get bigger and
bigger as the week progresses (shake it for height and volume!).

- You can fluff with a pick in the areas you want more volume.

- You can use a handheld or overhead steamer to add moisture and calm the
curls

How Do I Wash My Curls?

WASH DAY/STYLING

Ideally you should be rewetting and detangling the hair at least once a week. Doing so will result in fewer tangles and keep your new curls manageable. Wash days with Nahara’s Curls should be a 50 mins process. Simple and easy.

Are your curls looking frizzy and dehydrated? Here is a quick step by step of how to properly regain hydration and frizz-free curls:

WASHING/CONDITIONING

- Prewash. A prewash consists of putting your favorite detangling product then going in section by section and gently detangling with a brush or your fingers. (This step is optional)

- Step into the shower and soak the hair completely. Use either a gentle shampoo or co-wash to cleanse your hair of any product. If you decide to use a co-wash in your routine alternate every other wash with real shampoo. Shampoo twice if needed, but avoid overwashing the hair.

- Thoroughly rinse out co-wash/shampoo and apply your fav conditioner to your curls. Gently brush out your curls with a paddle brush. Part your hair into sections and detangle starting at your ends and working your way to the roots. We, at Nahara’s Curls, advise you to let your conditioner sit for about 5-10 mins.

DRYING

Once curls are fully detangled, cleansed, and conditioned. Add a light leave-in conditioner and gel for styling. To dry the hair either diffuse or air-dry.

How Do I Care For My Curls at Night?

- Sleep in a Bonnet, Pineapple or Pocket Bonnet/Scarf

- All must be satin or silk material

More Helpful Tips

- Do not over-wash your hair, this will cause excessive drying and result in breakage and weakening of the curls. We recommend shampooing no more than once a week and only shampooing once during the washing process. Always with a gentle shampoo.

- Avoid use of oil on your curls. This will cause heavy buildup on the hair that can lead to limp curls and overwashing.

- Remember that curls have a natural frizz and tend to get bigger as the week progresses. Yes, you can control the frizz to a certain extent but not fully. Keep that in mind as you wear your curly extensions and try to embrace the boldness and freeness of your curls.
