At Nahara’s Curls, each texture is thoughtfully designed to mirror natural curl patterns. To keep your curls defined, healthy, and long-lasting, it’s essential to style them properly before install and refresh them correctly during wear.

Below you’ll find detailed curl care guidance for each of our core textures. ✨

🌊 Tula – Loose Spirals with Soft Waves

Defining Before Install:

  • Begin on damp hair.

  • Apply a light curl cream first, then layer with a gel to hold curl definition. Moisture is fine here if you’re using gel to seal it in.

  • Work in sections using the Olivia Garden Medium Fingerbrush to detangle, then the 7-Row Denman Brush to clump curls.

  • Set under a hooded dryer for the least shrinkage or use a diffuser if you prefer more shrinkage.

Maintaining Tula Curls:

  • Refresh with a light mist of water + curl foam or gel when needed.

  • Smooth down frizz with a small amount of curl cream on the mid-lengths and ends.

🎀 Amala – Springy, Voluminous Spirals

Defining Before Install:

  • Work in sections (about 4–6 parts).

  • Apply a moisturizing curl cream, followed by a foam or gel to lock in definition.

  • Detangle thoroughly with the Olivia Garden Medium Fingerbrush, then define curls section by section with the 7-Row Denman Brush.

  • Sit under a hooded dryer to set curls with minimal shrinkage, or diffuse if you prefer a fuller look.

Maintaining Amala Curls:

  • Refresh with a spray of water and a lightweight curl foam.

  • Finger coil or brush small sections again with a Denman if definition loosens.

Defining Before Install:

  • Start with hair fully saturated with water — Aura responds best to a lot of water for definition.

  • Apply CurlDaze Ultra Moisture Creme as your base, then layer with Innersense I Create Curl Memory for hold and shine.

  • Detangle using the Olivia Garden Medium Fingerbrush, then use the 7-Row Denman Brush to form uniform curl clumps.

  • Dry fully under a hooded dryer for less shrinkage, or use a diffuser for more shrinkage and volume.

  • Refresh with a fine mist of water + foam, re-clumping with the Denman where needed.

  • Use a lot of water when applying products — Taj defines beautifully when well-saturated.

  • Detangle gently with the Olivia Garden Medium Fingerbrush, then use the 7-Row Denman Brush to define coils.

  • Always dry under a hooded dryer for minimal shrinkage, or diffuse for a tighter, fuller coil effect.

Maintaining Taj Curls:

  • Refresh daily with water mist and curl cream worked into sections.

  • Finger coil or twist small pieces back into shape as needed.
